he would do it, but had concerns as the inroifer alveolar nerve ran across the roots of my tooth which were extremely long. He said it might be in my best interest to go to an oral surgeon, as they haver better tools etc. I did go to an oral surgeon she did have better tools, and boy did she use them right after she walked in and did nothing more than walk up to me, snap my tooth off at the gum, then proceed to drill and jack hammer around in my socket for the next 20 minutes trying to retrieve the lost root systems of the tooth (that were very deep, remember and intertwined with the nerve). I initially felt the vice-grip like sensation and extreme pain to my teeth that everyone has described, and the tingling and electrical scocks along my chin but now I'm left with only numbness of my lower teeth, chin, and bottom lip on the right side six months later and none of the strange sensations really occur anymore (I had some burning and also some weird thing when anything cold touched any part of the lower right side of my face cold air, a cold glass on the outside, cold liquid on the inside I would feel it radiate across the whole numb area also if I ran my fingernail across one area of the outside of the numb area, I could feel the vibration or something across the rest of the area all weird things my neurologist explained it as the nerve endings like many tiny little worms all trying to reconnect, but they don't know how and they get all jumbled up). Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions for me out there? I wish I would have found this site a LONG time ago the strange sensations are dying out now I'm actually kind of sad/worried to see them go perhaps my window for recovery is gone and this is what I'm left with? Will I always have to wipe my chin? If you are ever at an oral surgeon's office and you hear him/her bouncing from room to room operating a drill, leaving, going and talking to someone a few mintues later, operating a drill again, going and operating
